Public Records Requests

The Louisiana Public Records Law (La. R.S. 44:1 et seq.) provides the public with the right to inspect, copy, or obtain copies of most public records maintained by the Board. To request public records, please submit a written request to the Board’s Custodian of Public Records.

How to Submit a Request

Requests may be submitted by:

  • Email
  • Mail
  • Hand delivery

While verbal requests may be accepted when appropriate, submitting a written request helps ensure timely processing.

Please Include

  • Your name
  • Contact information
  • A description of the records requested
  • Preferred method of receiving the records (inspection, paper copies, or electronic copies)

Fees
Copying fees may apply as permitted by Louisiana law. If fees are expected, the Board will notify you before processing your request.

Response Time
The Board will respond in accordance with the Louisiana Public Records Law.
