Meet the Board
The Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners (LSBCE) is created within the Louisiana Department of Health pursuant to La. R.S. § 37:2802. The Board is composed of seven members appointed by the governor, consisting of six licensed chiropractors who have been continuously engaged in the practice of chiropractic in the state for at least five years, and one consumer member. In accordance with La. R.S. § 37:2804, the Board serves as the sole and exclusive authority in the state to issue a license to practice chiropractic and administer the statutory provisions of the law. To fulfill this mandate, the Board shall adopt rules and regulations necessary for its efficient operation in accordance with the provisions of the Administrative Procedure Act, R.S. 49:950 et seq., maintaining full legal authority to examine for, grant, deny, approve, revoke, suspend, and renew the licenses of chiropractors and conduct formal disciplinary hearings.
